Title : Approximate lattices and quasi-morphisms

Abstract: Approximate lattices are approximate groups that are ”large” and discrete
in some ambient group. The exact notion of ”large” is up for debate. In this talk
I will discuss how to construct exotic examples of approximate lattices from
quasimorphisms, and the dynamics/point processes they give rise to, and how radically
different they are from classical examples. No prior knowledge of approximate lattices
will be assumed. Joint work with Tobias Hartnick (Karlsruhe)
